The weekly periodical Đavolan, was first published „to the joy of the friends”, in 1892, in Kruševac. The title hints at a playful, humorous nature of the periodical. It contained poems, narratives, dramatic humorous and satirical texts and advertisements. The articles were signed using pseudonyms more often than real names. The National Library of Serbia stores the first two issues, given to it as a present by the Institute of History in Belgrade in 1969. #
