The present National Library of Serbia Collection of Early Printed Books is comprised of 101 library units. The collection contains the Serbian Church Slavonic editions printed in the period spanning from the last decade of the 15th century to the mid-17th century, including the oldest Cyrillic books, which are also the only incunables printed in the South Slavic area. These are Đurađ Crnojević’s editions printed in Cetinje. Most of the books in the Collection were published in Venice. Among the Venetian publications in the Serbian Church Slavonic language, the books of Božidar Vuković and his son Vincenzo are the most numerous. However, the collection also features the Cyrillic publications of their successors and followers: Stefan of Scutari (Stefan of Skadar), Jerolim Zagurović, Stefan of Paštrovići and Bartolomeo Ginami. Besides the Venetian publications, the collection also includes editions printed in cities and monasteries in the Serbian ethnic territory under the Ottoman rule - Goražde, Mileševa, Gračanica, Belgrade and Mrkšina crkva. The books not belonging to the Serbian recension of the Old Church Slavonic language are mostly the Wallachian and Russian Cyrillic editions.
